3. Products & services
Leir Studio sells handmade ceramics and offers ceramics courses and access to a ceramics studio. Each piece is handmade, so minor variation between items is to be expected. Colours displayed on screen may differ from the actual product.
4. Prices & payment
All prices are in Icelandic krónur (ISK) and include VAT where applicable. Payment is processed by card via the Straumur payment gateway. Card details are sent encrypted directly to Straumur and are not stored by Leir Studio.
An order is considered confirmed once the payment has gone through and a confirmation has been sent by email to the customer.
5. Order process
Once an order is placed, the customer receives a confirmation with a tracking number by email. This email constitutes the contract between Leir Studio and the customer. If no confirmation arrives within 24 hours, please contact leir@leir.is.
6. Delivery
Orders are shipped within Iceland via Pósturinn or an equivalent carrier. Estimated domestic delivery time is 2–7 business days from the order date. Shipping cost is shown before payment is completed.
International shipping is available by arrangement — please contact leir@leir.is before placing an order.
7. Right of withdrawal
Pursuant to Icelandic Act no. 16/2016 on consumer contracts, the customer has the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of receiving the goods, without giving any reason. To exercise this right, send notice to leir@leir.is within the period.
The goods must be returned unused, in the same condition and original packaging. Return shipping is at the customer's expense. Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods, using the same payment method as the original purchase.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to goods that have been made or customised to the customer's specifications, cf. Art. 18 of Act no. 16/2016.
8. Faulty goods
If a delivered item is faulty or damaged, please notify leir@leir.is within 14 days of receipt, ideally with a photograph. The customer is entitled to repair, replacement or refund in accordance with Act no. 48/2003 on consumer purchases.
9. Courses & memberships
Course registration is binding once payment has been made. Cancellations made at least 14 days in advance receive a full refund. After that, refunds are only made in exceptional cases. Leir Studio reserves the right to postpone or cancel a course; in such cases the payment is refunded in full.
10. Privacy
